Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
- Images that carry information have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and controls are designed for strong colour contrast against the page background.
- The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and works when text is enlarged up to 200%.
- Animation is reduced or removed if you've asked your device to reduce motion.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced.
Known limitations
- The EDDS app screens are images. Their key content is described in the image text and in the surrounding captions, but the small interface text inside them is not individually readable by screen readers.
